What is immediately noticeable on entering the guest-house is how cool it is inside on a hot summer day.

With the right combination of insulation and thermal mass, straw-bale seems to be the perfect construction method for the Perth Hills.

Loved the stay

We just loved the warm, cosy feel of the cottage. Thanks Jen and Ross for making the cottage so welcoming and comfortable. Being able to do our own cooking and laundry made life a lot easier. We enjoyed relaxing in the bamboo grove and being able to pick fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden. Jen and Ross are the prefect hosts - never intrusive, but always available if we needed anything.
